My mp3 player is set to random mode however nothing is randomized. I can listen to an entire album without the insertion of a single other artist. What's the deal?

When I plug the MP3 player into the computer it shows that I have 30 items on the unit with 24.4 MB still available. When I unplug from the computer and try to go to music it says that there are no files. How do I get the files to "stick" so that I can listen to music that I have added?

Missing music files
My "music" catagory shows EMPTY but when I plug the MP3 into the computer it shows all my music files are there, and it won't play the music. Went thru trouble shooting in the manual - nothing helped.

Backlight won't work
Everything about the MP3 player seems to work except for the backlight. It plays music,communicates with the computer, is fully charged, etc. Without the backlight you can't see which song(s), state of charge, & menus.
Any ideas?

Photo loading problems from USB
First time using..Loaded all JPEG from a USB and the screen chooses to flash a percentage line that only loads in a flash showing 0.1 percent...not showing fotos just a black screen with this rolling percent acknowledgment. Unable to play/view files
My PMP-120 freezes while loading up any folder after the menu screen. Whether I'm attempting to view audio, video, or photo files it freezes and I have to reset it manually. Is there any kind of system restore I can preform or any software I can use to reset it?
