Set up
The computer came with Windows Vista installed. I wanted to use this computer as an upgrade for my Windows XP computer. Tried installing the old hard drive in the Acer and reinstalled Windows XP. Problem is that I can not access the internet.

Power surge has caused computer to not start
A power surge blew out my surge protector. The computer will no start up but the monitor and printer semm to function. Can I reset anything or do I have to take it in for service?

Power Source
No Power to Computer. Already check all cables, replaced the power source, checked the on/off switch. I have not checked the motherboard, could this be the problem.

How to install speakers
my speakers are not working. I had to unplug everything to get my office carpeted. Now the lights are on the speakers so there is electric power but no sound. I have gone through the audio portions of "my computer". It says everything is working....hmmm any suggestions

Overheat and shut down, and keyboard keys worn out
CPU gets hot and shuts down, Have to keep fan on it to cool down. I think fan is inoperative and keyboard keys do not repspond very well, I think keyboard needs replacing

Removing hard drive
Do you have detailed instructions on how to get the hard drive out of this machine. Removing the side is easy, but I am having extreme difficulty in working out how to open the computer enough to access the hard drive.

Power Problem
PC will not start neither will monitor. Power supply OK as Green light (back of PC) flashes once when power is switched on + standby light is on monitor for few seconds and then the monitor switches itself off. Welcome any suggestions.
