    Clifford Alarm on 1990 BMW

Hi wonder if anyone can help have just bought a 1990 bmw and it has a clifford alarm has a jack plug connection on the dashboard and next to it is a red light with clifford across the top, I.m trying to find out what model it is as the fob isnt programmed and thus doesnt work, numbers that i have found on the siren in the engine bay are 48-058a. Can anyone help i want to find out if its working before i go out and spend unecessary money on a new one. I know i can get spare clifford fob's off ebay so its just a question of reprogramming and getting the immobiliser key. Any help greatly appreciated. Si
