    Display color problem
First, I'm a degreed and experienced tech, but before I start piddling around, I need to know if anyone has had a similar problem with this monitor. I've had it for about two and a half years and it has performed like a champ until the last couple of weeks. The screen flickers back and forth from green to normal color, as if there is a loose connection somewhere. Then, it will stay normal for an hour or two, then start flickering again. ('Normal' meaning normal color, and 'flickering' meaning going between normal color and green) Occasionally, if I whack it, it will go back to normal - and stay. Tonight, as I write this, however, the screen is just green without any 'flickering' whatsoever back to normal, and 'whacking' it does no good. It started with the usual flickering between normal color and green, though, then went green and stayed green. I know enough to know that this "going green" means some sort of 'loss of color information', but, where? I jiggle the VGA connection's input to the monitor, and it has no effect either way. It's one of the weirdest problems I've seen, as the CRTs menu is in perfect "living color"! I need to find some sort of service manual or get some guidance or something. Tks in advance.
