Can You Help With These Problems?

    unit jammed cannot remove
    when i rotated the unit back together it has now jammed and cannot be rotated back from the ceiling. do i just rip it off and replace?

    Chirping problem
    We just put new batteries in the "nighthawk ionization smoke alarm model 0916", and it is still "chirping"

    alarm
    I have changed my bagtteries in the units and they still beep intermittentily. what do i have to do to make them stop. there produciton date is nov 27 2000. thank you
