Panasonic VCR PV-V4022A

VCR will now do nothing

I had pushed program I think, then it said to push action to change to channel 4. After pushing action I can no longer get anything at all to come up on the screen. I push program and nothing happens. I push action, nothing happens. I tried unplugging. Now it just has ---- on display on vcr.

    When I push power on remote TU appears on dispaly screen on vcr and screen goes black, you can hear the tv but see no picture untill you push tv/vcr button, then it goes back to the tv....the vcr will do absolutly NOTHING else (will go to FF or Rev). All I did to get this problem is puch the action key! Also- my model # ONLY says PV V4002, no A or B after it.
