Motorola Digital 5.8GHz Cordless Two Line Model MD7090

MOTOROLA MD7090,Base Lamp of Play/Stop message from mailbox 2 is clinking continously.I failed to switch it off or to stop clinking.Please tell me the steps to remedy the situation.Best regards.
