I dropped the remote one last time and it won't turn on the t.v. I changed the batteries just in case that was the problem and it didn't help.The problem with the t.v. is that you need the remote to actually get the t.v on.(unless I'm doing something wrong. but there is no way to turn on the t.v on the set. It just turns the power on and puts it in standby.I bought a generic universal remote which says it good for Mintek and
