Uniden Cordless Telephone DSS 2455

no dial tone

i have recently moved from Australia to New Zealand and now the phone is not working here,we had no problems with it in Australia,is there something i need to have it work,we have a NZ phone cable.
any ideas please let me know.Thanks.
