New chain installation

With difficulty removed drive cover and with new chain installed can't get cover back on....because of the spring clip circumference. What am I doing wrong?

    I just encountered the same problem. Its because the "Chain Brake" was on when the cover was removed. Releasing the brake while the cover is off the saw is very difficult because it is spring loaded. I haven't found an easy way to do it.
