JVC CD Player KD-AR360

I need help!

The radio will not turn on and or play a cd. The cd can be ejected and it can be loaded, but the unit shuts itself off after any buttons are pressed. I had it professionally installed and I know the wires are correctly spliced. ( I purchased an adapter harness that accommodates the factory harness and the new jvc harness.) This is a KD-AR360. Thanks!
