beat indicators flash with mid and high range

Hi..i'm having a problem when i'm trying to beat match..
the beat indicators will flash with the Mid and high range frequencys..I have tried lowering the mid and high range but when I do the sounds isn't very good..does anyone have any idea what could be wrong..I do have the mixer grounded if anyone was thinking it could be that..
