Canon Scanner DR-1210C

Warming Up times

Every time I scan a document, the "Warming Up..." progress bar appears and it takes 30-60 seconds before the scan begins. Even if I scan two documents one after the other, the "Warming Up..." bar will appear both times. Is this a fault with the scanner, or simply a setting that needs to be changed
