Motorola Two-Way Radio T5725

headset problem

my head set works properly because it works in my phone. but when i plug it in to my radio it will send messages but it will not recieve them, i dont know if it is cause im not doing it right because i cannot find the manuel but if u\you can tell me please do. and if you happen to know whare i can find an online manual please give me the link
