Emerson TV/VCR Combo 13-INCH COLOR TV/VCR EWC1303A

tv shuts off in 5 seconds

After turning the tv on, the tv turns off automatically in about 5 seconds. The words eject with the pic of eject and the letter T appear at the top of the screen

    Mine is doing the same. My wife had noticed that prior to the issue, our 1yr old had reached in the tape slot. Check for a switch just inside the tape slot on your left hand side. Gently push the switch in (away from you) and turn the TV on. Does it stay on as long as you hold it? Mine does. Now what do we use to keep it in that position?
