Pioneer DVD Player DV-250

universal code or new remote for dv-250

I have the dv-250 and need the universal code to pt in my cable to use their remote on the dvd player. I lost the remote and when watching a dvd I can't move it past play. For instance i'm watching a dvd that has 4 episodes i can watch the one but the buttons on the front of dvd player will not move it to episode 2,3,or 4 please help
