Sharp Calculator el-1701v

simple addition/subtraction/multiply/divide

Can you give me the 'simple' instructions to perform these tasks on this model. Why does it not allow me to print the total ie; 12 + 12 = . . . but it won't print the total, shows it on the screen but won't print it on the paper.
