I cant pair my heatset with my PC adn also my mobile

ok so i followed the manual exactly, but when i sat down to pair it with my PC adn cell phone , the headset wouldn't let me...Ok so in the manual it said that after charging..U press hold the bluetooth button for 5 second till the LED flashes blue and red correspondently..But mine flashed only blue alterately..Anyways i ignored that and commensed with the paring..So first i tried the PC adn then the mobile fone....Each time they made contact adn the headset asked for a 'passkey'.So in my QuickStart manual it said that my iogear headset would ask for a passkey and when it does, i was supposed to enter '0000'..Which i did...and both times it didn't work:S...my PC and cell phone said something like 'the remote device(headset) is restricting connection'. Why is that?. I followed the manual. I figured that the passkey is wrong.So i need help. Is there another passkey?. And i have to confess something. The manual said to charge it for 8 to 10 hours initially, but i charged for 4 hours because i did not see that info about charging it for 8-10 hours initally,so i turned it on for a few seconds. Then wen i read through it again I realised and I plugged it back in for charging adn charged for 6 more hours.So could that have damaged it?. Please help me. Thank you.

    Iam also facing the same problem. Please somebody help me with the passkey. '0000' as mentioned in the manual is not working.
