Sylvania TV/DVD Combo 6620LDT

Display problem

Bought this TV/DVD combo as a gift for my grandson in 2006. About a month ago we lost picture and sound. Warranty has expired and don't know if it is really worth trying to get it fixed. Any ideas/recommendations? Thanks
