JVC DVD Player XV-FA95GD

Unit lost synchronization, won't play discs.

While trying to install a new receiver, I accidentally pressed the button that opens the drawer on DVD player. The drawer couldn't open all the way because of its position. Now, the internal computer that keeps track of how many discs are in the player and where they are is "confused" and out of sync. I tried unplugging the DVD player to reset it. Even tried to let it sit overnight and shorted out the AC line plug but that wouldn't correct the problem. Is there a reset button somewhere on or in this unit? How can I re-sychronize the drawer with the lights and get to play DVDs again?
