Toshiba DVD Player portege SD-4000

Missing Instructions

I just purchased subject DVD player from HHGregg yesterday and the operating instructions were missing. I hooked the unit up to my TV; however, I cannot get it to play. If I have to I will take the unit back to the store for a refund.
