re: Please help find the manual for this Sharp Projector

The bulb is on the right side of the projector when viewed from the front and right side up. You'll see a screw near a warning symbol with a lighning bolt through it. Make sure power is DISCONNECTED and bulb is COLD. These bulbs can explode with a lot of force and release mercury in the process as well as potentially damaging the internals of the projector. Remove the screw and remove the access cover. The bulb is part of a modular assembly held in with a couple screws. Remove these (be careful not to drop them into the case) and the bulb assembly will pull out. Note these bulbs are hard to find for this projector since it has gone out of production. For the cost of a new bulb you can get a better and newer projector if you don't want a lot of features or high definition. There are many better current choices. Note this projector also has the tendancy to burn the LCD panels, especially blue. Cost to replace was/is in the $1000 range. I've had mine for almost 9 years and am replacing it. Many expensive problems.
