    REMOVING PEDISTAL STAND

    I CAN'T REMOVE THE STAND TO WALL MOUNT TV. OWNERS MANUEL NO HELP. CHASSIS # TAC 0706. ANYONE ELSE EXPERIENCE THE SAME PROBLEM?

    • Toshiba Base Removal

      We were excited to buy our new 52" LCD today. We got a great deal. It was marked down from $ 3200 to $ 1200 because of floor model. No manual because of this. I hear it would not help. We got home at 5:00pm and could not get base off until 8:00pm. One website said remove 6 screws from back. I had to remove 3 screws. Basically the stand has a metal plate that slides up through the back of the TV. I figured out which screws by looking for tool marks on them. I replaced every screw that I took out after I got the stand off, just to be on the safe side. My TV had three screws on the back about 8" up from base. Take the screws off and teh stand comes off. Hope this helps.
