Husqvarna Lawn Tractor YTH2148

Engine replacement

I have a 2005? Husqvarna YTH2148 with a seized engine. The engine is a 21 horse, Briggs and Stratton Vanguard. Can I replace it with a Briggs and Stratton Vanguard, 18 horse? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
