First Alert Carbon Monoxide Detector NICO

Peiodic Beeping
Posted by fhale2 on Sep 16th, 2008 at 9:57am

Detecor has been installed for many (?) years. It has started beeping at 45 sec intervals but stops when sensor pack module is pulled out.

If your CO alarm keeps chirping, the battery may be low or weak. On First Alert® carbon monoxide detectors, check to see if the battery light is yellow or green. If the alarm is chirping and the light is yellow, it means the battery is low. The way to get a carbon monoxide alarm to stop chirping is to replace the battery.

FYI, First Alert discontinued the SensorPack Module. Call First Alert to get a replacement if your detector is less than 10 years old (check the date inside the battery compartment.)
