first when we turn on the tv there was picture but no sound, tv was not on mute. then I kind of moved buttons on remote had sound but no picture. all is normal when on LD we can watch movies as soon as I switch it to tv sound and no picture but screen has like grey scratchy looking lines

I Just bought a Blu-ray DVD player and hooked it up with a HDMI Cable to my HD tv Set . Everything works fine except when I connected it to my D414 Receiver (coaxal Conn.) I used a Audio Cable w/RCA conn. At first it worked, but then the surround sound stopped. I went and got a audio coaxal cable but that didn't work either. What did I do wrong??????

My 3-CD doesn't work. I think that the drawer was pushed in manually too many times, instead of the close button being used. Now, when the receiver is turned on, I get M-ERROR message. The drawer opens automatically when the power is turned on, but I can't get a CD to play. Also, only tray 2 opens. How can I fix this?

I got this recently from my parents in law who upgraded (!!!) to something more modern.We didn't get an instruction manual but did get 2 big speakers (polk SDA 1A's)and 4 little ones (Polk Mini monitors 8ohm) to go with it. At present we only want it for audio use: c.d record player and tape. I can see lots of different types of inputs for the speakers and would like to know which are the correct inputs for the main speakers and whether the small speakers will improve the sound or whether they were meant only for video.What i really need is some kind of diagram. Thanks
