hi i have the sharper image midi silent air purifier. i need to clean the "filter" but can't find manual. how do i best do this?

Pull the grid out of the unit by its handle. It will have a lot of gray dusty matter stuck to it. I generally just rinse it off under hot water in the kitchen sink using a dish rag or several wet paper towels to thoroughly clean the grid. Rinse thoroughly, shake off the excess water and (VERY IMPORTANT) allow it to dry completely (overnight) before reinstalling it. Before you reinstall the grid, pick up the cleaner itself and turn it upside down. You should hear a large "bead" sliding along a wire. Do this several times as the bead is actually cleaning that wire. Reinstall the grid and you're good to go.

ON MY IONIZER, I HAVE A DIAL THAT HAS ON, OFF AND ON/G.P. AND ALSO HAS A BOOST BUTTON. WHAT IS THE BOOST BUTTON AND WHAT IS G.P. FOR?

GP stands for "germicidal protection". Boost puts the unit on its maximum settings for quick cleaning of the air.

I am trying to repack my Tower in its original box for a move.I can not get the small lamp off - How does it come off? I do not remember how I put it on but know it is suppose to come apart. Thanks!
